Intro

A training contract is the door into a career as a solicitor in the UK — and the applications for one are long, competitive and judged by recruiters at commercial law firms who read thousands of them.

TC Masters reviews those applications before they're sent. The team came to us with the service in their heads and nothing on paper. We shaped the offer, the words and the site together, and built it so the business could start taking paid reviews from day one.

What the site does:

  • Explains the service in one screen: “The Legal Maze Unraveled”
  • Sells three clear plans, from £40 to £70
  • Opens the application upload only after payment

Meet TC Masters

TC Masters is a small UK team that reviews training contract applications. Every review comes back with line-by-line comments, firm-specific feedback on the competencies recruiters look for, and advice on showing commercial awareness in answers.

Their promise is simple: help applicants let their experience shine through — and secure a path into the legal profession in each application cycle.

The TC Masters team

The challenge we tackled

An idea without content

There was no copy and no structure to start from — only the service and the people who would deliver it.

Selling to anxious applicants

People trust TC Masters with their career. The site had to feel credible, and say exactly what they get and when.

Three plans, no confusion

Standard, Express and Bundle had to differ in one obvious way — speed or volume — never in what the review includes.

Paid before submitted

Applications could only reach reviewers once they had been paid for, with terms accepted before purchase.

The service we received from Maks was impeccable. He communicated with us throughout the process and made sure that the final product was top notch. He answered all our questions and was ready to make the amendments we wanted if we didn't like something.

Our approach

01Shape the offer first

We turned the service into three named, priced plans that all include the same four-part review, so the only choice is speed or volume.

02One action on every page

“Buy now” leads the hero, the about section and the offers; “Learn about us” is the only secondary path. London at night sets the tone, orange marks the action.

03Payment before upload

Terms come before purchase, and the application submission page unlocks only after a successful payment — so every application the team receives is already paid for.

When a client isn't sure about the content yet, design can't start with pixels. We started with the offer — three plans, one review — and the pages wrote themselves around it.

Offers: three plans on desktop and mobile — same review, different speed or volume

Three plans, one promise

Every plan includes the same review. The plans differ only in how fast it comes back and how many applications it covers.

  1. 01

    Standard · £40

    • One application review
    • Back in 3–5 working days
    • The full four-part review
  2. 02

    Express · £60

    • One application review
    • Back in 1 day
    • Marked as the popular choice
  3. 03

    Bundle · £70

    • Two application reviews
    • Back in 3–5 working days
    • For applying to two firms
The four-part review in every plan: a personalised review, line-by-line comments, firm-specific feedback on sought-after competencies, and stronger commercial awareness in answers.

From landing to feedback

One path through the site, with nothing that doesn't move an applicant towards a reviewed application.

Summary

The hardest part of this project wasn't the design — it was deciding what the service is. Once the offer was three plans and one review, every page had a job.

In Michał's words, the site is for anyone building “from scratch, especially if you're not entirely sure about the content yet.” That's exactly where TC Masters started.
